JUDGMENT

1. The case was passed over on the first call as none was present for the petitioners. Same is the position even on the second call.

2. Counsel for the respondents states that the present petition has been rendered infructuous inasmuch as both the petitioners have already been promoted to the post of Assistant Engineer (E/M) and all the eligible JE (E/M) in SC category have been promoted to the post of Assistant Engineer (E/M), vide order dated 22.12.2015. He further states that the said information was duly communicated to the petitioner No.1, vide letter dated 4.1.2016. In support of the said submission, learned counsel for the respondents hands over W.P.(C) 348/2015 2016:DHC:531 photocopies of documents forwarded to him by the department under cover of letter dated 13.1.2016, which are taken on record.

3. Perhaps it is for the said reason that none is present on behalf of the petitioners.
