JUDGMENT
1. In this petition filed by way ofpublic interest litigation,the petitioner inter alia seeks to "issue an appropriate writ/direction/order in the nature of certiorari to quash the impugned Railway Ticket Reservation Forms to the extent ofGender/Sex requirement option for booking railway ticket."
2. The contention ofthe petitioner is that the respondents ought to have ar included "trans-gender/third gender" also as a gender option in the Railway Ticket Reservation Forms.
3. It may be an issue which needs to be looked into by the respondents, however, the same deserves no consideration by us in exercise of jurisdiction under Article 226 ofthe Constitution ofIndia. 2016:DHC:9286-DB
4. Accordingly,leaving it open to the petitioner to bring the issue raised in this petition to the notice ofthe Railways by way ofa representation or otherwise,the writ petition is dismissed.
