04.04.2016 Present writ petitions have been filed seeking adirection to the respondent-UOI to consider and decide the applications for renewal ofcertificate ofNotaries filed by the petitioners.
2016:DHC:9217 Learned counsel for the petitioners draws the attention of this
Court to an order passed by a Coordinate Bench of this Court in
W.P.(C)No.8503/2015 on September, 2015.
This Court is of the opinion that as the representations/renewal applications filed by the petitioners are still pending, the respondent must dispose ofthe sameby way of speakingorders.
Consequently, the present writ petitions are disposed of with the following directions:-
(i) Thepetitioners, if they so desire, maywithin 10 days hereoffile more particulars/documents in support of their explanation for the delay in applying for renewal, if any.
(ii) The respondent shall thereafter, within six weeks of the receipt of such further documents from the petitioners, consider the grounds given by the petitioners for condonation of delay in applying for renewal and shall take a reasoned decision thereon.
(iii) The respondent, if of the opinion that the petitioners are to be denied the renewal for any other reason, would, after notifying the petitioners of the said reason and after giving the petitioners an opportunity of being heard thereon within the subject period of six weeks, shall pass reasoned orders within a period of three months from today.
(iv) Needless to state that if the petitioners remain aggrieved, they shall have their remedies.
