JUDGMENT
1. Petitioners seek quashing of FIR No.07/2014 of PS Nihal Vihar for offences under Section 498A/406/34 IPC. It is submitted by petitioners that they have settled all their disputes with the complainant de facto (respondent no.2 herein). All the petitioners and respondent no.2 are present in court, identified by their respective counsel and IO/SI Rajesh Kumar.
2. I have spoken with the parties in Hindi.
3. It is submitted by both sides that they have settled all their disputes arising out of the matrimony between petitioner no.1 and respondent no.2, GIRISH KATHPALIA KATHPALIA Date: 2025.05.22 17:01:49 +05'30' CRL.M.C.2776/2025 pages who have got their marriage dissolved by way of decree of divorce with mutual consent. There was no child in the matrimony of petitioner no.1 and respondent no.2. Respondent no.2 submits that she has received her entire stridhan as well as full and final settlement amount towards her future alimony and she does not wish to proceed against the petitioners. Detailed statements of parties were recorded by the concerned Joint Registrar.
4. Having spoken with the parties, I am satisfied that it would be in the interest of justice not to push the parties through trial.
5. Therefore, the petition is allowed and consequently FIR No.07/2014 of PS Nihal Vihar for offences under Section 498A/406/34 IPC as well as proceedings arising out of the same are quashed. Pending application stands disposed of. (JUDGE) MAY 22, 2025
