CORAM:
HON'BLE MS. JUSTICE HIMA KOHLI O R D E R 26.05.2016
JUDGMENT

1. The present petition has been listed in Court subject to an office objection with regard to its maintainability with an observation that the petitioners ought to have approached the Central Administrative Tribunal, for the relief prayed for against the respondents, which is for directions to them to cancel the promotion made to the post of Firemen/Fire Operators.

2. Merely because the petitioners have impleaded respondent No.4, namely, the Institute of Fire Engineers (India) and the President and General Secretary of the said Institute as respondents No.5 & 6, will not be a ground for filing the present petition in this Court. This is purely a service matter, for which the petitioners ought to have approached the Central Administrative Tribunal. 2016:DHC:4397 WP(C) 3138/2016

3. The present petition is accordingly disposed of alongwith the pending application with liberty granted to the petitioners to approach the Central Administrative Tribunal, for appropriate relief. HIMA KOHLI, J MAY 26, 2016 rkb
