ORDER o/o 15.07.2016 Both these petitions have been filed to seek quashing of FIR NO. 219/2014 registered at police station Rajinder Nagar under Sections
66A/66C/66E/67 IPG, on the complainant of respondent No.2-Mandeep
Kaur, wife ofMr. Gumish Singh Anand.
The petitioners in Writ Petition (Crl.) NO. 1705/2016 are Ms. Kirandeep Kaur, hersister-in-law (bhabhi) andparents of herhhabhi, asthey are also made accused in the said FIR.
Both the petitions are premised on the settlement arrived at between the complainant-respondent No.2 and the accused. Respondent No.2 is present in court. She states that she has arrived at the said settlement dated
30.07.2015 with her husband, and with the petitioners in WP(Crl.) NO. 1705/2016 on 19.12.2015 out of her own free will and consent and without any undue influence or coercion. She also joins the prayer that the FIR may be quashed against all the accused.
In terms of the said settlement, learned counsel for the petitioner has tendered a pay order for Rs. 5 lakhs drawn in favour of respondent No.2 which has been delivered to her. Accordingly, both the petitions are allowed and the FIR No. 219/2014 registered at police station Rajinder Nagar under
Sections 66A/66C/66E/67 IPG stands quashed.
