Mr Verma appearing on behalf of the DDA has handed over the status report with regard to the completion of the digitisation project. As per the status report, it has been submitted as under:
"3. Basically five activities are carried out for the digitization of and management record ofacquired villages by DDA which are as under: a) Scanning ofmassavies (old maps) b) Digitisation of massavies into sizra maps with the help of autocad software. c) Data entry ofkhasrawise land details ofeach village. d) Scanning of various proceedings such as possession proceedings etc. village-wise from the land record files. e) Checking of all above details by the revenue officials of LM
Deptt. and thereafter engraving the digital signatures on each digitized document.

4. There are 240 villages in Delhi which have been acquired by DDA for its development activities. As on date all the land records of 240 villages has beendigitized following the above five steps.
5. After digitization of land record of all the 240 villages, the details were checked by the revenue officials of LM Dept. And it was discoveredthat some updation was required. i. Digital signatures have been procured from Govt. of India authorised agency, e-mudra. ii. Digital signatures have been affixed on the digitized massavies, digitized sizra maps and khasra-wise land details of 80 villages and updation has also been carried out therein. iii.Theupdation andaffixing digital signatures in the remaining 160 villages is in progress. It is expected that the digitiseddata of the 160villages will also be re-checked and digital signatures will be affixed tentatively in the next three (3) months.
6. Till dateDDAhas placed the digitized dataof about 200villages on the web-server for the general public to view and on acquisition of two more servers all the data of 240 villages will be placed on DDA's website so that general public can view the same.
7. The information of land record is stored in different forms and at different locations. The original record available in DDA is stored in almirahs under the custody of LM Dept. in the form of physical files and physical registers in Vikas Sadan. The digitized record is stored in DVDs, external hard disc and in the server available in DDA, Vikas Sadan and on the web server physically existing in the Data Centre of M/s. Sify Incorp. in Bombay. As of now we have one web server in the Data Centre of M/s. Sify in Mumbai and to enhance its capacity DDA has decided to have two servers with more capacity and the bidding process for acquisition of such servers have been over and shortly within a period of next one month or so DDA will have two high capacity servers at Mumbai Data Centre ofM/s. Sify Incorp.
8. One copy of CDs and DVDs and the external hard disc are kept in the locked almirah in Systems Dept. and one copy in LM Dept. in DDA, Vikas Sadan. Thus it is ensured that in case of any eventuality the datawillremain safebecause these havebeenkeptat various locations.
9. One CD having the information of 240 villages such as all land records, massavies, digital maps and khasra-wise details is enclosed as Annexure 1 hereto and another CD containing the revised/updated information of land records of 80 villages out of these 240 villages is enclosed as Annexure 2 hereto. The earlier CDs filed in the Court were in oracle tables and autocad files. Now, the same have been converted to PDF format and can be easily accessed." The status report is taken on record.
