The petitioner has preferred the present petitionto seek parole by one month to conduct the last rites of his mother, who is stated to have passed away on 28.09.2016. The petitioner is already on furlough as granted bythe
State Government. He was released on furlough on 19.09.2016 and his furlough was to expire on 04.10.2016. In the meantime, on 28.09.2016, the petitioner states that his mother has passed away. He has placed on record

Mr. Katyal submits that since the matter has been listed on mentioning today, it has not been possible to verify the facts stated in the petition.
Considering the fact that the petitioner has, prima facie, shown to the court that his mother has been cremated on 28.09.2016, the petitioner is granted parole with effect from 04.10.2016 for a period of four weeks subject to his furnishing personal bond in the sum of Rs. 10,000/- with one surety in the like amount to the satisfaction of Jail Superintendent. The petitioner shall also provide his mobile number to the Jail Superintendent which shall be kept in working conditions at all the times. He shall mark his attendance on every Monday at 1100 hrs. in the local police station. He shall duly surrender at the end of the parole period. In case the State finds that the averments made in the petition are not true, it shall be open for the
State to forthwith seek cancellation of parole.
The petition stands disposed of.
