1. This petition by way ofPublic Interest Litigation has been filed with the following prayers: "A) That the respondents may be directed to provide ultrasound machine,blood hematology analyzer and X-ray machines and other medical equipments and the respondents may also be directed to provide veterinary officers, veterinary compounders, wash boys, etc. B) That the respondent may be directed to constitute a panel of experts from the Wildlife Institute of India, Indian Veterinary Institute and National Centre for Disease Control and the respondents may seek recommendations from the panel ofexperts to control bird flu. Sh.Rahul Mehra,the learned Sr.Standing Counsel for GNCTD,who appeared on advance notice has brought to our notice that on receipt ofa communication fi-om the Assistant Commissioner (LH), Government of India regarding the reportofmortality in birds in National GeologicalPark, New Delhi due to H[5] Avian Influenza Virus, an urgent meeting was convened on 18,10.2016 with the concerned officials of Delhi Zoo, Municipal Corporations of Delhi and others and decisions were taken regarding the immediate precautionary measures to be initiated which iiicluded closure ofthe Zoo for public,securing sufficientstock ofanti-viral drugs,formation ofRapid Response Teams to visit the affected sites and to dispose off the dead birds, sanitation measures, regular review meetings, mock drillforthe nodal officers ofthe Rapid Response Teams and advisory to the public regarding do's and don'ts to avoid further spread ofdisease. A briefnote explainingthe action taken has also been submitted bythe learned Standing Counseland thesame is placed on record.

3. In the light of the steps that have already been taken by the respondents, there is no need to entertain this petition and the same is accordingly disposed of.
