ORDER

1. By this writ petition, petitioners who are working as Senior Library and Information Assistants as also Junior Library and Information Assistants in the respondent no. 3/Nehru Memorial Museum and Library, seek the relief ofgrant ofhigher pay scales as stated in prayer(a)ofthe writ petition,which reads as under:- -J "a) issue a writ or direction in the nature ofcertiorari ^ to direct the respondents to grant the pay scale of Rs.1400-2600 w.e.f. 1.1.1986, Rs.5500-9000 w.e.f. 1.1.1996 and GP-4600 in PB-2 w.e.f. 1.1.2006 to the petitioners or from the date of their joining service whichever is later."

Counsel for the petitioners states that respondent no. 3 has already forwarded such a proposal for grant ofreliefsto the W.P.(C)5380/2014 page[1] of[2] 2016:DHC:9293 1^" petitioners to their parent Ministry being respondent no. 1/Ministry of Culture and respondent no. 1 has further forwarded these proposals to Ministry ofFinance,which is respondentno.2,fortheir approval.

3. It is stated that Ministry ofFinance has raised certain queries to respondent no. 3, but these queries are not being answered by respondent no. 3, and hence the proposals for grant of higher pay scale as claimed in this writ petition along with consequential benefits is in limbo.

Learned counsel for the petitioners states that he will be satisfied if directions are issued to respondent no. 3/Nehru Memorial ^ Museum and Library to respond to the queries raised by respondent no. 2/Ministry of Finance in a time bound manner, and accordingly this writ petition is disposed of by directing respondent no. 3 that whatever communications are received by respondent no. 3 either from respondent no. 1 or respondent no.2then respondent no.3 wilf in a time bound manner/period, not exceeding three months, will respond to the queries ofrespondent no.2 or respondent no. 1,as the case may be.

5. In case, any order is passed by the respondent no. 2 which pertains to the subject matter ofthis writ petition,and ifsuch an order is against the petitioners, petitioners at that stage can approach the Court by filing appropriate proceedings.
