The petitioners have filed the present petition seeking quashing ofFIR
No.45/2016 registered on the complaint of the complainant under Sections
498A/ 406/ 34 IPG against the petitioners at Police Station Gokul Puri.
The complainant is present in Court with her counsel. She is identified by the Investigating Officer as well.
The parties have arrived at a settlement on 04.03.2016, which has been placed on record. Under the settlement, out of the total settlement amount ofRs.2.50 lacs, the complainant has already received an amount of
2016:DHC:9170 Rs.1.25 lacs. The balance amount of Rs.1.25 lacs has been tendered to her inCourt today by way ofa FDR ofPunjab National Bank dated 26.10.2016.
The complainant states that she has not been subjected to any pressure or coercion and that she has entered the settlement out of her own free will.
The complainant further states that she joins the prayer for quashing ofthe
FIR in question.
Accordingly, no useful purpose would beserved inproceeding further with the FIR in question and the proceedings emanating therefrom. The same are hereby quashed.
