19.12.2016 The State has filed its'status report in bail application No.1884/2016, titled Manju Vs:State. As per the status report,charge-sheet already stands filed. It also records that no sufficient grounds were found for arrest ofthe petitioners since they are unmarried college going girls and sisters-in-law of the deceased. Chaman Lai, the husband of the deceased is in Judicial -
Custody. The mother-in-law ofthe deceased.Kamlesh had surreridered and
2016:DHC:8757 I X" c has been granted bail by this Court. Other two accused,namely Mamta,the maternal mother-in-law(maami)and Laxmi,the grandmother-in-law(naani) ofthe applicants have also not been arrested and charge-sheet.has been filed without their arrest.
In view ofthe aforesaid,the petition is allowed. It is directed that in ease of their arrest, the petitioners shall be released on bail upon their furnishing personal bonds with one surety each in the sum of Rs.10,000/- each to the satisfaction ofthe arresting officer. This is further subject to the condition thatthey shalljoin the further investigation as and when called for.
They shall not contact any ofthe prosecution witnesses or tamper with any evidence in the case.
