01.03.2017 The status report tendered in court is taken on record. A perusal of the same shows that the petitioner's wife is receiving treatment at GB Pant
Hospital in the Department of Neurology. She is under evaluation and investigation results are awaited and she needs follow up and OPD. This shows that her condition is not so grave as to need urgent attention for which the petitioner may be granted bail. So far petitioner's father is concerned, he was admitted to RML Hospital on 14.02.2017. As per the status report, he has left the hospital after two days without informing the hospital staff.
Learned counsel for the petitioner disputes this position. He states that the petitioner's father was discharged from the hospital by the staff. In this regard, he seeks to show documents to the court.
2017:DHC:8405 Whether or not the petitioner's father was discharged by the hospital or whether he had left without any intimation to the hospital, in my view, does not change the situation. The fact of the matter is that he does not need hospitalisation. Moreover, there are other siblings of the petitioner to look after his father and wife.
In these circumstances, no ground for grant of interim bail is made out. Dismissed.
