09.03.2017 By these petitions, it has been prayed that the two cross FIRs may be quashed, details whereof are as under:-
(a) FIR No. 14/2013 under Sections 500/509/292/384/354/506/120-B IPG and Sections 66A/67/67A of IT Act registered at police station Janak
Puri on the complaint ofMs. Kavita Khanna.
(b)FIR No.15/2013 under Sections 342/506/34 IPG and Sections 3 (x) of
SG & ST Act, 1989 on the complaint ofMr. Lekh Raj.
It is submitted that the parties have settled their disputes before the
Delhi High Gourt Mediation and Gonciliation Gentre on 6 February, 2017.
Photocopy of the settlement report has been placed on record and perused.
Ms. Kavita Khanna and Mr. Lekh Raj, complainants in the aforesaid FIRs are present in Gourt and have been identified by AGP Dinesh Tiwari, DIU.
They submit that they have settled all their disputes amicably and are not willing to pursue the FIRs any further. It is further submitted by them that the settlement has been arrived at between them of their own free will and without any undue force, pressureor coercion.
Learned Additional Standing Gounsel opposes the quashing of FIRs.
However, since the parties have settled their disputes before the mediation centre and they are not willing to pursue the FIRs any further, I am of the view that FIRs can be quashed. Accordingly, the above noted FIRs and the consequentproceedings emanatingtherefrom, are quashed.
Petitions are disposed of in the above terms. Miscellaneous applications are disposed ofas infructuous.
