5. This appeal has been filed by the appellant challenging the Order dated 07.02.2025 passed by the learned Single Judge in W.P.(C) 9155/2024, titled Delhi Jal Board v. Harpal Singh, by which the learned Single Judge has dismissed the application of the appellant LPA 436/2025 seeking condonation of delay of 49 days in depositing the amount as directed by the learned Single Judge vide its Order dated 08.07.2024.

6. The learned counsel for the appellant submits that the appellant was ready with the Demand Draft for the deposit. She submits that the delay was due to administrative reasons in taking approvals for compliance of the Court Order.

7. While we do not appreciate the reasons for the delay caused, especially when it is a condition for the stay of the Industrial Award, however, given the peculiar facts of this case, we direct that on the appellant depositing the entire awarded amount, inclusive of interest, with the Registry of this Court within a period of ten days from today, there shall be a stay on the execution of the Industrial Award impugned in the Writ Petition.

8. We further make it clear that as we have extended the period for deposit, no further extension shall be granted for the same and in case the amount is not deposited within the time granted, the respondent shall be at liberty to seek execution of the Industrial Award impugned in the Writ Petition.

9. The appeal and the pending application are disposed of in the above terms.
