JUDGMENT

1. The present petition under Section 440(2) Cr.P.C. r/w Section 482 Cr.P.C. has been filed by the petitioner for reduction of the surety amount. Status report is on record.

2. I have heard the learned counsel for the parties and examined the file. The petitioner is in custody since 24th March, 2016. By an order dated 5th September, 2016, he has been granted bail on his furnishing personal bond in the sum of `1,00,000/- with one surety in the like amount. Certain other conditions have also been imposed.

3. The petitioner, however, could not furnish the required surety bond. 2017:DHC:2551 Crl.M.C.1031/2017

4. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, the surety amount is reduced to `75,000/-. Other terms and conditions of the order dated 5th September, 2016 are left undisturbed.

5. The petition stands disposed of.
