1. By this petition, under Section 29A(4) of the Arbitration & Conciliation Act, 1996, the petitioner holder seeks an extension of the period for making the award. 2017:DHC:3695 OMP(MISC.)(COMM.)11/2017

2. Issue notice. Notice is accepted by the learned counsel appearing for the Respondent.

3. Learned counsels submit that the time for making the award has expired on 05.07.2017.

4. Learned counsels for the parties submit that the parties have been diligently prosecuting and the Arbitrator has been proceeding diligently with the proceedings.

5. Learned counsels submit that the proceedings are virtually at an end as the arguments have been finally concluded by the parties and the Arbitrator has listed the matter for some clarification on 26.07.2017.

6. In view of the submissions of the parties that there has been no delay attributable either to the parties or the Arbitrator, the time for making the award is extended with effect from 05.07.2017 for a further period of one month from today.

7. The petition is accordingly disposed of.

8. Order Dasti under signatures of the Court Master.
