26.07.2017 Learned counsel for the respondents states that the issue raised in the petition is now pending consideration with the Ministry of Home Affairs.
We have also perused the affidavit filed by the petitioners, who have stated thatthey would be satisfied ifthe writ petitions are disposed ofatthe initial
^ stage directing the respondents to expedite the consideration ofthe pending issue. '
ORDER
2. In view of the aforesaid position, we dispose of the writ petitions, with the hope and trust that the Ministiy ofHome Affairs, conscious ofthe problem,would take a considered decision within the shortest possible time and preferably within a period ofthree months from the date a copy ofthis order is received bythem.
3. We clarify that the Court has not made any observations one way or the other on merits. We further clarify that in case ofan adverse order, it will be opento the petitioners to challenge the same in accordance with law.
