JUDGMENT
1. Petitioner seeks quashing of FIR No. 218/2019 of PS Kalyan Puri, District East Delhi for offence under Section 323/354/354A IPC on the ground that complainant de facto (respondent no.2) has compromised the disputes with the petitioner.
2. Statements of parties have already been recorded by the concerned Joint Registrar. I have spoken with respondent no. 2, who is accompanied with her counsel and identified by IO/SI Shubhanshu Singh.

3. From FIR, it appears that on account of the matrimonial dispute between respondent no. 2 and her husband, when she tried to enter her matrimonial home, there was some scuffle between her and the present petitioner (brother-in-law of respondent no. 2). It is submitted by respondent no. 2 that subsequently, her marriage with brother of the petitioner was dissolved by a decree of divorce and now she has remarried. Since the petitioner apologized, they executed a Memorandum of Understanding dated 05.07.2025. Under these circumstances, respondent no.2 submits that she does not want to pursue prosecution of the petitioner. State has no objection if the present petition is allowed.
4. Having spoken with respondent no.2, I am satisfied that it would be in the interest of justice not to push the parties through trial.
5. Therefore, the petition is allowed and accordingly, FIR No. 218/2019 of PS Kalyan Puri, District East Delhi for offence under Section 323/354/354A IPC along with consequential proceedings is quashed. (JUDGE) JULY 31, 2025
