JUDGMENT
1. Petitioners seek quashing of FIR No. 299/2023 of PS Mangolpuri for offences under Section 498A/406/34 IPC on the ground that complainant de facto (respondent no.2) has settled the disputes with the petitioners.
2. Respondent no.2, identified by IO/SI Manita accepts notice. Learned APP accepts notice. State has no serious objection to this petition.
3. I have spoken with the parties in Hindi. It is stated by them that they have compromised the matrimonial disputes and are now living together happily. Petitioner no.1 is the husband of respondent no.2 and they have two children. Since now they are living together happily for past two years, GIRISH KATHPALIA KATHPALIA Date: 2025.07.24 18:00:45 +05'30' CRL.M.C.1005/2025 pages respondent no.2 does not want to pursue prosecution of petitioners.
4. Having spoken with the parties, I am satisfied that it would be in the interest of justice not to push the parties through trial.
5. Therefore, the petition is allowed and FIR No. 299/2023 of PS Mangolpuri for offences under Section 498A/406/34 IPC and proceedings arising out of the same are quashed. Pending applications are disposed of. (JUDGE) JULY 24, 2025
