JUDGMENT

1. The present application has been filed seeking interim bail for a period of eight weeks for the treatment of his wife and arrange funds, in connection with ECIR No. DLZO-II/03/2024, registered under Sections 3 and 4 of the Prevention of Money Laundering Act, 2002, by the Directorate of Enforcement (hereinafter “ED”).

2. Mr. Madhav Khurana, learned Senior Counsel appearing for the petitioner, submits that the present application was filed on account of the medical condition of the petitioner’s wife, who is suffering from mild lumbar spondylosis and was advised to undergo surgery. It is further submitted that the petitioner also needed to make necessary financial arrangements for the said surgery. Learned Senior Counsel further draws BAIL APPLN. 3681/2024 attention to the fact that interim bail was granted to the petitioner by this Court vide order dated 04.11.2024, which has been extended from time to time thereafter.

3. Today, Mr. Madhav Khurana, on instructions, seeks liberty to withdraw the present application. He further submits that the petitioner may be granted two days’ time to surrender. The same is opposed by Mr. Arkaj Kumar, learned Retainer Counsel for the respondent/ED, who prays that the petitioner be directed to surrender immediately.

4. Considering that the interim bail granted to the petitioner has been extended from time to time, this Court finds it appropriate to grant a further period of two days to surrender. Accordingly, the petitioner is directed to surrender on 31.07.2025 at 10 AM before the Special Court, Rouse Avenue Court Complex.

5. The interim bail granted vide order dated 04.11.2024, shall continue to remain in force with the same conditions specified therein. It is made clear that today is the last day for an extension.

6. The present application is accordingly disposed of. AJAY DIGPAUL, J JULY 28, 2025 Sk/yr
