13.12.2017 Mr. Vivek Chib, learned counsel appearing on behalf ofthe appellant, invites our attention to an office order
NO.DTU/0034/2016STAT/2867, dated 25.10.2017, issued by Delhi
Technological University(Govt. of NCT of Delhi), to urge that a further 626 posts of teaching faculty have been sanctioned. In this behalf, our attention in particular is drawn to the disciplines, E&C as well as EE &EEE, to state that 91 posts in relation to the designation of Assistant Professors, which is what the appellants are eligible to seek appointments for, will still beavailable.
It is in this backdrop, the learned counsel appearing on behalf ofthe appellants, states on instruction, that they wish to withdraw this appeal ifthe Selection Committee ofthe respondents were to consider granting weightage to them for their work experience in functioning as Assistant Professors, while making fresh appointments, qua the newly sanctioned posts, in accordance with the law, including the extant rules as well as the policy ofthe Govt. ofNCT ofDelhi.
Learned counsel appearing on behalf ofthe official respondent states that due weightage would be given to persons with the necessary working experience, as and when the additional posts are
/ sought to be filled, in accordance with law, including the extant rules andthe policy of the GNCTD.
Leave andliberty granted.
The appeal is dismissed as withdrawn, whilst accepting the statement made onbehalfofthe respondent, asrecorded hereinabove.
