13.12.2017 It is submitted that petitioners (accused) and private respondents
2017:DHC:8280 (complainants), in both the petitions, have settled their disputes before the
Mediation Centre, Rohini Courts, Delhi on 15 th
April, 2017; therefore, FIR No. 605/2014 under Sections 354A1506/509 IPC and FIR No. 848/2014 under Section 354 IPC, both registered at Police Station Alipur may be quashed. Private respondents, namely, Meenakshi and Kavita are present along with their respective counsels and have been identified by, ASI
Rajender of police station Alipur. They submit that they have settled the matter with petitioners of their own free will, voluntarily and without any undue force, pressure or coercion. A copy of the Settlement Agreement dated 15th April, 2017 entered into between the parties has been placed on record before the Mediation Centre. Ms. Minakshi says that she was represented before the Mediation Centre by her husband Umesh; whereas
Ms. Kavita says that she was represented by her husband Shri Jitender, who have signed the Settlement Agreement, on their behalf and on their instructions. Ms. Minakshi and Ms. Kavita submit that aforesaid FIRs, registered on their respective complaints, may be quashed.
Keeping in view the settlement arrived at between the petitioners and private respondents before the Mediation Centre, in the interest of justice, FIR Nos. 605/2014 under Sections 354A!506/509 IPC and FIR NO. 848/2014 under Section 354 IPC, both registered at Police Station Alipur and the consequent proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed.
Petition is disposed of in the above terms. Miscellaneous applications are disposed of as infructuous. Dasti.
