ORDER

1. Petitioners are ad-hoc teachers who claim parity with regular/guest teachers in the respondent-Mahavidyalaya. Learned counsel for petitioner submits that in this regard, petitioners have made representations and the last representation made to first respondent is of 11th December, 2017 (Annexure P-5). Learned counsel further states that no response to any of the representations has been received by petitioners. 2017:DHC:7987 W.P.(C) No.11628/2017

2. In the facts and circumstances of this case, it is deemed appropriate to dispose of this petition, without commenting on the merits, with direction to first respondent to pass appropriate orders on petitioners’ representation (Annexure P-5) within a period of eight weeks and the fate of the representation be made known to petitioners within two weeks thereafter, so that petitioners may avail of the remedy as available in law, if need be.

3. With aforesaid directions, this petition and the accompanying application are disposed of.

4. Till the fate of petitioners’ representation is made known to them, status quo, as of today, in respect of their service, be maintained.

5. A copy of this order be given dasti to counsel representing both the sides.
