09.01.2018 The Petitioners are present in the court. The prayer made in the petition is that the petitioners be granted adequate police protection as they were suffering coercive action at the hands of the respondent no.3 (brother of the petitioner no.1). Brother of the petitioner no.1 who is present in Court informs this Court that her parents have now accepted their marriage and she has no fear/apprehension from respondent no.3.
Be that as it may, learned counsel for the State informs this
Court that the adequate police protection had been afforded to the petitioner; in fact a beat constable has been sensitized and his mobile number has been given to the petitioners in order that they could contact with the police but in view of the latest development no such protection would really be required. This statement of the counsel for the State has been endorsed by petitioner no.1.
