JUDGMENT
(ORAL)

1. Petitioner seeks quashing of case FIR No. 571/2016 of PS Bindapur, Delhi for offence under Section 498A/377/323/506 IPC on the ground that the complainant de facto (respondent no.2) has compromised the disputes with the petitioner.

2. The respondent no. 2, appearing in person with her counsel and identified by IO/SI Shiksha accepts notice. Learned APP accepts notice and submits that State has no serious objection to this petition.

3. I have spoken with respondent no. 2 in person, who states that she has compromised all disputes with the petitioner and marriage between the two st=Delhi, CRL. M.C. 5496/2025 pages now stands dissolved by way of a decree of divorce. It is stated by respondent no. 2 that the parties have a daughter, presently aged 9 years and she is in custody of respondent no. 2. Petitioner does not want to visit daughter of the parties. Respondent no. 2 submits that towards full and final settlement she has received the entire amount, including the last instalment of Rs. 2,50,000/- by way of demand draft in her name and Rs. 2,50,000/- by way of FDR in the name of her daughter. Respondent no. 2 submits that now nothing is due from petitioner. It is further stated by respondent no. 2 that she does not wish to prosecute the petitioner.

4. In view of the above circumstances, I am satisfied that it would be in the interest of justice not to push the parties through trial.

5. Therefore, the petition is allowed and FIR No. 571/2016 of PS Bindapur, Delhi for offence under Section 498A/377/323/506 IPC and proceedings arising out of the same are quashed. Pending application stands disposed of.
