21.02.2018 Initially, FIRNo. ,359/2001 was registered at Police Station S.N. Puri under Sections 420/506/34 IPC. During the investigation. Sections
506/465/471/120-B IPC were added. Petitioners are accused in the aforesaid
2018:DHC:8395 FIR. It is submitted that matter has been settled between the petitioners and respondent no. 2before the Mediation Centre, Saket Courts, New Delhi on
3'"'^ October, 2017. Accordingly, aforesaid FIR and the consequent proceedings emanating therefrom may be quashed. Respondent no. 2is present in Court and has been identified by SI Dinesh Kumar of police station of S.L. Colony. Respondent no. 2 submits that he has settled the matter with the petitioners ofhis own free will and without any undue force, pressure or coercion. He further submits that he has received the entire settled amount and he has no objection in case the FIR is quashed.
Keeping in viewthe settlement arrived at between the petitioners and respondent no.2 voluntarily before the Mediation Centre, in my view no fruitful purpose would be served to keep the criminal proceedings pending.
Accordingly, FIR No. 359/2001 Sections 420/506/465/471/34/120-B IPC registered at Police Station S.N. Puri and the consequent proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed.
Both the petitions are disposed ofin the above terms. Dasti.
