28.02.2018 The petitioner prays for quashing ofthe bill dated 31,01.2018 issued by the respondentfor a sum ofRs.1,19,403/-. He submits that the said bill is highly excessive.■ He further submits that he has made various representations to the respondentfor replacementofthe meter by pointing out that the electronic meter installed by the respondent wasfaulty,butthe respondent has till date failed to take any action on his representations.
Ms.Malavika Trivedi,Advocate who appears on advance notice for the respondent, fairly submits that the respondent would decide the petitioner's representation dated 22.01.2018 in a time bound manner by way ofareasoned &speaking order.
Accordingly,the writ petition along with pending application is
2018:DHC:8560 disposed ofwith a direction to the respondent to decide the pending representation ofthe petitioner by passing a reasoned and speaking order within four weeks.It is further directed that till the respondent dispose ofthe petitioner'srepresentation,no coercive action would be taken againstthe petitioner.
Needless to state that, any payment made by the petitioner towards the impugned bill would be without prejudice to his rights & contentions.
