HON'BLE MS.JUSTICE REKHA PALLI
28.02.2018 In the present case, when the matter was listed on 27.02.2018, in view ofthe limited prayer made by the petitioner wherein he had sought that the list ofcandidates be arranged in the alphabetical order, Mr.Singhdev, counsel for the respondent was directed to get instructions.
Today, Mr.Singhdev, learned counsel for the respondent submits that the list of candidates have already been published in accordance with the rules and therefore the Petition has become infructuous.
^ At this stage, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that in view ofthe fact that the election process has already been started and
2018:DHC:8559 the list ofcandidates has already been published, he does not wish to press the present petition.
He however submits that withdrawal ofthis petition should not bar him from making a similar representation to respondent at an appropriate time before the next elections ofDelhi Bar Council.
In view ofthe fact that the petitioner is not pressing the petition as not only election process has already been started but even the list of candidates has already been published and the merits of the petitioner's claim have not been examined, it is made clear that the petitioner will be at liberty to file an appropriate representation before the respondent at any stage before the next elections of Delhi Bar
Council.
