01.03.2018 Petitioners are seeking quashing of FIRs. These are two cross-
FIRs i.e. the FIR No.914/2014 registered at police station Vasant
Vihar under Sections 509/323 read with Section 34 of the IPC;
Sections 354/506 of the IPC were added later on; this FIR was registered on the complaint of Rimple. The second FIR i.e. the FIR
No.915/2014 registered at the same police station on even date was registered on the complaint of Lakshmi Kumari Sharma under
Sections 354/323/506/34 of the IPC. All the parties are present in person in the Court today. Their presence has been identified by their respective counsels as also by the Investigating Officer.
Parties had appeared before the Mediation and Conciliation
Centre, Delhi High Court. A settlement agreement has been arrived at between the parties. The said agreement dated 06.02.2018 is a part of the record. It is stated that the parties have settled all their disputes and now they have no grievance left against one another. They have decided to maintain harmony inter se and are interested to live with peace.
Learned counsel for the State under instructions state that ifthe prayers made in the petitions are granted it should be subject to payment of costs as the investigation has progressed and the State has incurred expenditure. It is stated that charge sheets have been filed in both the FIRs.
This is a fit case, where the prayers made in the petitions should be allowed. Accordingly, to secure ends ofjustice, both the FIRs i.e.
FIR No.914/2014 registered under Sections 509/323/354/506/34 of the IPC and the FIR No.9I5/20I4 registered under Sections
354/323/506/34 of the IPC; both as at police station Vasant Vihar and all the proceedings emanating therefrom stand quashed. This order is passed subject to payment of Rs. 10,000/- to be deposited with the
Delhi High Court Legal Services Committee by the petitioners in each ofthe petitions.
Petitions disposed of in the above terms.
