CORAM:
HON'BLE MS. JUSTICE INDERMEET KAUR (1PflFP 14.03.2018
A fresh status report has been filed by the State. This Court in the earlier order dated 15.02.2018 had noted the details of the factual submissions as submitted by the learned senior counsel for the petitioner. Learned senior counsel for the petitioner points out since
FIR No. 170/2016 is already being investigated by the Crime Branch, the other FIRs i.e., FIR No. 202/2017 (being investigated upon by PS
Lajpat Nagar) and FIR No. 038/20 18 (being investigated upon by PS
V
2018:DHC:8680 Lajpat Nagar) also be directed to be investigated upon by the Crime
Branch. This submission had been noted in the earlier order. The accused persons in all the aforenoted FIRs are common. The learned counsel for the State informs this Court that the accused persons are in fact absconding and coercive steps are being taken against the accused persons.
There is no substantial opposition to the prayer made in the petition. It would accordingly be appropriate if all the FIRs are
0 investigated by a common agency i.e., Crime Branch. This would be a step forward in the smoothening of the investigation.
Accordingly, FIR No.202/2017 which is pending before the
Police Station Lajpat Nagar and FIR No. 038/2018 which is also pending before the police station Lajpat Nagar are transferred to the
Crime Branch for further investigation.
Petitions disposed of in the above terms.
