ORDER

1. The petitioner in Crl. M.C. 1466/2018 seeks quashing of FIR No.239/2013 under Sections 354/451/509 IPG, Police Station Jagat Puri. Petitioners in Crl. M.C. 1477/2018 seeks quashing of FIR CRL.M.C. 1466/2018& pagel CrI.M.C.1477/2018 2018:DHC:8414 No.231/2013 under Sections 323/354/506/509/34 IPG,Police Station JagatPuri. The subject FIRs are cross-FIRs.

2. It is contended that at the relevant point of time, the parties were neighbours and the subject FIRs have been registered over a quarrel thattook place between the parties on a trivial issue.

3. Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that the disputes between the parties have been settled and they have entered into a settlement agreement• dated 22.02.2018 through the process of mediation, held at Delhi Mediation Centre, Karkardooma Courts, Delhi.

4. Parties are present in person, represented by respective counsel and identified by the Investigating Officer. They submit that they have settled all their disputes. They further submit that they do not wish to press their respective complaints.

5. In view ofthe fact that disputes between the parties have been settled, continuation of criminal proceedings will be an exercise in futility and justice in the case demands that the dispute between the parties is put to an end and peace is restored; securing the ends of justice being the ultimate guiding factor. It would also be expedient to quash the subject FIRs and the consequent proceedings emanating therefrom.

6. In view of the above, the petitions are allowed.
