ORDER

1. Petitioner claims to have applied for the post of Marketing Assistant in pursuance to Advertisement No. GAIL/OPEN/MISC/1/2017 issued by second respondent and is said to have participated in the written examination. According to petitioner, an e-mail was received from 2nd respondent on 18th January, 2018 asking petitioner to come for verification of original certificates and for pre-employment medical examination scheduled on 10th / 11th February, 2018.

Learned counsel for petitioner submits that petitioner had produced his original certificates for verification and had undergone the medical examination but thereafter, petitioner was orally told that his case has been put on hold. Learned counsel for petitioner submits that there is no 2018:DHC:2291 W.P.(C) 3442/2018 response to Legal Notice of 19th February, 2018 (Annexure P-6) sent on behalf of petitioner to second respondent.

3. In the facts and circumstances of this case, it is deemed appropriate to dispose of this petition with direction to second respondent to consider Legal Notice of 19th February, 2018 (Annexure P-6) as a Representation and to pass a speaking order thereon, within a period of four weeks. The fate of Legal Notice of 19th February, 2018 (Annexure P-6) be conveyed to petitioner within a week thereafter, so that petitioner may avail of the remedies, as available in law, if need be.

4. With aforesaid directions, this petition is disposed of. Copy of this order be given dasti to counsel representing both the sides.
