JUDGMENT

1. For the relief sought in this petition, a Representation (Annexure P-

22) has been made by petitioner on 5th March, 2018 against impugned order of 16th February, 2018 (Annexure P-1) vide which it has been conveyed to petitioner that he has to retire on 31st October, 2018. According to petitioner, he has to retire at the age of 65 years and not 60 years. Learned counsel for petitioner submits that there is no response to the said Representation (Annexure P-22).

2. In the facts and circumstances of this case, it is deemed appropriate to dispose of this petition with direction to respondent-University to consider petitioner’s Representation of 5th March, 2018 (Annexure P-22) and to reconsider impugned order of 16th February, 2018 (Annexure P-1) in light thereof and in case petitioner’s aforesaid Representation is not to be acceded to, then a speaking order be passed thereon within a period of 2018:DHC:2501 W.P.(C) 3782/2018 six weeks and fate of the said Representation be made known to petitioner within two weeks thereafter, so that petitioner may avail of the remedies as available in law, if need be.

3. With the aforesaid directions, this petition and the applications are disposed of. Copy of this order be given dasti to counsel for the parties.
