JUDGMENT
1. By way of this writ petition, appointment on compassionate basis is sought by petitioner. Learned counsel for petitioner submits that policy to make appointment on compassionate basis has been revived in the year 2014 and petitioner’s Representation of 24th January, 2018 (Annexure P-
5) seeking the appointment on compassionate ground has not been considered by the respondent.
2. Despite service of advance notice, there is no appearance on behalf of the respondent.
3. In the facts and circumstances of the case, it is deemed appropriate to dispose of this petition with permission to petitioner to make a fresh concise Representation within a week. Upon receipt of said 2018:DHC:3139 WP(C)5048/2018 Representation, the respondent shall pass a speaking order thereon within a period of eight weeks and the fate of said representation be conveyed to petitioner within two weeks thereafter, so that petitioner may avail of the remedy as available in law, if need be.
4. With aforesaid directions, this petition stands disposed of. A copy of this order be given dasti to petitioner’s counsel.
