The petitioner seeks issuance of a fresh passport, with correction with regard to his date of birth. It is averred in the petition that the petitioner was issued a passport bearing no.G 1542324 on 22.2.2007. It is further submitted that in the passport, the petitioner's date of birth was shown as 17.9.1995 instead of 17.9.1997.
It is'in this background, that the petitioner appears to have applied for a fresh passport on 6.9.2017.
Mr. Anil Dabas says that the matter is being inquired into, since it is a case where two different birth certificates have been tendered on behalf of the petitioner.

JUDGMENT

5 Given these circumstances, the respondent is directed to complete its inquiry and reach a conclusion in the matter with due expedition. Let the needful be done, in the matter, within two weeks from today. The conclusion reached by the respondent will be conveyed to the petitioner.

6. The petitioner will be at liberty to assail the conclusion arrived at by the respondent, if it is adverse to his interest.
