No.3 to 6.
Mr. Kundu, the learried Additional Standing Counsel for the State submits that the police is cognizant of the fact that the petitioners' con, namely, Satender @ Atender is mentioned in Bundle-A ofthe list of'Bad
Characters' of the area. The police had visited the residence of the petitioners on a regular suryeillance exercise, to assess the activities and whereabouts of the listed Bad Characters. Therefore, no motive can be attributed to the police apropos them discharging their statutoiy duties and functions and no apprehension can possibly be harboured aboutthe action of the police. Apropos the petitioners' complaint that respondents No. 3 to 6
2018:DHC:9108 have threatened them,the learned Additional Standing Counsel assures the
Court that appropriate action will be initiated in this regard and the petitioners wUl be duly intimated about the same within two weeks from today. ^ ^
In view ofthe above,no further orders are required to be passed.The petition,alongwith pending application,stands disposed off.
