26.07.2018 L At the outset, the learned counsel appearing for the parties state that the present petitions be disposed of with a direction to the Ministry of
Commerce/Rubber Board to consider the representation made by the
2018:DHC:8488 s r petitioner associations, which are pending consideration before them. It is further suggested that the present petition be treated as a part of such representation. It is so directed.
ORDER

2. The respondent shall afford each of. the representatives of the petitioners an opportunity to be heard. The said representatives would also be permitted to present with additional material with respect to the issue of inverted duty structure and reduction in import duty on imported Natural Rubber.

3. The Secretary, Ministry of Commerce is directed to constitute a panel consisting of experts from Rubber Board. The said panel shall consider the representations and afford the hearing to the petitioners, as directed above. The concerned officer of the Ministry of Commerce shall pass a reasoned order within a period of four weeks on receipt ofthe report from the panel of experts and communicate the same to the petitioners.

4. It is expected that the entire process shall be completed as expeditiously as possible and preferably within a period of 12 weeks from today.

5. Needless to mention that if the petitioners are aggrieved, they are at liberty to avail such remedies as may be available in law.

6. This order has been passed with the consent of the parties. The petitions are disposed of. The pending applications are also disposed of
