1. The present petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India prays as follows:- “i) A writ of mandamus or any other appropriate writ or direction may kindly be issued in favour of the petitioner and against the respondent to de-seal the property bearing No.B-20/29, Gali No.2, Khasra No.21/22, Kamal Vihar, Karaval Nagar, Delhi-110094, measuring 100 sq. Yards consisting of hall at ground floor and first floor and rooms at second floor on the undertaking of the petitioner to use the property for residential purpose and with undertaking that he will not use the same other than the residential purpose. ii) Any other relief which this Hon’ble Court deems fit and proper may kindly be passed in favour of the petitioner and against the respondent.”

3. Mr. Ajjay Aroraa, learned counsel accepts notice on behalf of the respondent.

Mr. Rama Shankar, learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner limits the relief in the present petition to a direction to the East Delhi Municipal Corporation, the respondent herein, to consider his representation, as and when filed, seeking de-sealing of the subject premises bearing No.B-20/29, Gali No.2, Khasra No.21/22, Kamal Vihar, Karaval Nagar, Delhi-110094, expeditiously.
5. Learned counsel appearing on behalf of EDMC states that if a representation is received in this behalf from the petitioner, the same shall be disposed of, in accordance with law, expeditiously and positively within a period of four weeks thereafter, under intimation to the petitioner.
6. With the above directions, the writ petition is disposed of.
