ORDER o/o 23.08.2018 The marital discord between Ms. Ritu Batra and Mr. Gaurav Batrahad led to registration offollowingthree FIRs:-
2018:DHC:8513 7^ (a) FIR No. 1223/2015 under Sections 323/341/506/34 IPC registered at Police Station Hari Nagar on the complaint of Mr. Gaurav Batra against Ms.PLitu Batra and her relatives, (b) FIR No. 1220/2015 filed under Sections 354/323/506/509/34
IPG registered atPolice Station Hari Nagar,on the complaiant of Ms. Ritu Batra against Mr.Gaurav Batra and his relatives and, (c) FIR No. 369/2016 under Sections 406/498A/34 IPG registered at Police Station Janak Puri, on the complaint of Ms. Ritu Batra against Mr.Gaurav Batra and his relatives.
It is submitted that a settlement was arrived at between Mr. Gaurav Batra and Ms.Ritu Batra before the Delhi Mediation Gentre, Tis Hazari Gourts on 15^^ February, 2018 inasmuch as terms of settlement have been complied with. The marriage between Ms.Ritu
Batra and Mr.Gaurav Batra has already been dissolved by a decree of divorce by mutual consenton 27*'^ July,2018. Accordingly,aforesaid
FlRs and the consequent proceedings emanating therefrom may be quashed.
Ms.Ritu Batra and Mr. Gaurav Batra are present in Gourt and they have been identified by ASl Rajinder Prasad ofPolice Station, Hari Nagar and SI Manju Yadav of PS Janak Puri. Other persons, namely, Mr. Naresh Batra, Ms. Sudha Batra, Mr. Mahesh Batra, Mr.Om Prakash, Ms.Poonam,Mr. Manish Wadhwa,Ms. Asha Rani
Wadhwa, Mr. Ankush Ahuja and Ms. Pooja Ahuja involved in the aforesaid FlRs and who are relatives of Ms. Ritu Batra and Mr. Gaurav Batra are also present in Gourt. They submit that they have no objection in case aforesaid FlRs are quashed. s
Keeping in view the settlement arrived at between the concerned parties before the Mediation Centre,I am ofthe view that no fruitful purpose would be served to keep the criminal proceedings pending.
Accordingly, in the interest ofjustice, the aforesaid FIRs and the consequentproceedings emanatingtherefrom are quashed.
Petitions are disposed ofin the above terms.
