The present petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India prays as follows:-
“a) To pass an order to direct the respondent to admit the petitioner in the requisite course he has applied under
NRI category; b) To pass any other order or direction to the respondents this Hon’ble Court deems fit on the basis of above mentioned facts and circumstances of the case; c) To allow the present writ petition with cost.”
Issue notice.
Ms. Zeba Khair, learned counsel accepts notice on behalf of Jamia
Milia Islamia.
Learned counsel appearing on behalf of Jamia Milia Islamia states that, upon verification of the petitioner’s Passport, it is found that the latter is entitled for admission under the ‘NRI category’ in the subject course. It is further stated that the said admission shall be granted subject to completion of all other requisite formalities.
In view of the foregoing, the petitioner is directed to comply with the requisite formalities during the course of the day today and the Jamia Milia
Islamia shall grant him admission in the subject course under ‘NRI category’, in accordance with law, as expeditiously as possible. No further directions are called for in the present petition.
With the above directions, the writ petition is disposed of. The pending application also stands disposed of.
A copy of this judgment be given dasti under the signature of Court
Master to counsel for the parties.
