Resident Commissioner Govt. of Arunachal Pradesh v. Secretary (Labour) & Anr.

1. This matter has been listed by the Registry specifically in the category of “Old/Targeted Cases” for the purpose of case management.

2. Ms. Shrine Nima, the Authorised Representative/Legal Consultant for the Petitioner and Mr. Dinesh Kumar Yadav/Respondent No. 2 are physically present in the Court today.

3. Learned Counsel appearing on behalf of the parties submit that parties agree to an amicable resolution in the matter.

4. The Respondent No. 2/Workman has agreed to accept a sum of Rs.15,56,539/- as full and final settlement of all his claims in the matter. W.P.(C) 3539/2019

5. Learned Counsel appearing on behalf of the Petitioner submits that the Petitioner is carrying a bank draft dated 23.06.2025 bearing No. 062842 in the sum of Rs.15,56,539/- in the name of the Registrar General of this Court and that he will be depositing the same within a week. He further submits that the amount of Rs. 1,79,590/- has already been deposited by the Petitioner in terms of the Order dated 11.12.2019.

6. Learned Counsel appearing on behalf of the Petitioner has handed across a copy of the bank draft for Rs.15,56,539/- to the Court today. The Registry is directed to scan and upload the same so that it remains embedded in the case file.

7. Learned Counsel for the Petitioner submits that the Petitioner is making payment of entire amount in discharge of its obligations to the Respondent No. 2 in its entirety. In view thereof, learned Counsel appearing on behalf of the Petitioner submits that the matter may be disposed of as settled.

8. The Petition is accordingly, disposed of. The pending Applications stand closed.

9. The Respondent No. 2 is at liberty to take appropriate steps to withdraw the amounts as deposited, inclusive of up to date interest.
