JUDGMENT
(ORAL)

1. Petitioners seek quashing of case FIR No. 761/2021 of PS Farsh Bazar, Delhi for offence under Section 498A/406/34 IPC on the ground that the complainant de facto (respondent no.2) has compromised the disputes with the petitioners.

2. Respondent no.2 present in court with her counsel and identified by Investigating Officer/SI Kulbir Singh accepts notice. Learned APP accepts CRL.M.C. 1787/2025 pages notice and submits that State has no serious objection to this petition.

3. Husband of respondent no.2 has already passed away.

4. I have spoken with respondent no.2 in Hindi and it is stated by her that she has compromised all disputes with the petitioners, and towards full and final settlement of all her claims including stridhan and share in joint family property, she has accepted a total sum of Rs. 16,50,000/-, out of which half amount was paid earlier and the balance has been paid today. Respondent no.2 submits that she does not wish to pursue prosecution of the petitioners.

5. Having spoken with the parties, I am satisfied that it would be in the interest of justice not to push them through trial.

6. Therefore, the petition is allowed and FIR No. 761/2021 of PS Farsh Bazar, Delhi for offence under Section 498A/406/34 IPC as well as proceedings arising out of the same are quashed. Pending application stands disposed of.
