JUDGMENT
1. This common order shall dispose of the above captioned petitions seeking quashing of FIR No. 1371/2015 dated 27.12.2015 registered at 2019:DHC:5991 Police Station Madhu Vihar in CRL.M.C. 3293/2019 and FIR No. 162/2016 dated 02.09.2016 registered at Police Station Madhu Vihar in CRL.M.C. 3295/2019 and consequent proceedings arising therefrom.
2. Notice issued.
3. Notice is accepted by learned APP for the State and counsel for respondent no.2 in both the petitions and with the consent of the counsel for the parties, both the petitions are taken up for final disposal.
4. The petitioner Abhinav Jindal and respondent no.2 got married on 25.01.2015 as per Hindu rites and rituals. Due to extreme incompatibilities between them, they started living separately. Learned counsel for the parties submit that the parties have now settled all their disputes before the Mediation Centre, Karkardooma Courts, Delhi vide settlement dated 15.01.2019.
5. The complainant is present in person with her counsel and has been identified by SI Indrapal of Police Station Madhu Vihar. She has received the balance sum of Rs.1,50,000/- from the petitioners in the Court today by way of a cheque bearing no.005937 drawn on The Nanital Bank Ltd. dated 11.11.2019, towards full and final settlement of all her claims and submits that matters have been settled with the petitioners and she does not wish to prosecute both the above mentioned petitions any further.
6. Taking into account the aforesaid facts, this Court is inclined to quash the concerned FIRs as no useful purpose would be served in prosecuting the petitioners any further.
7. For the reasons afore-recorded, the FIR No. 1371/2015 dated 27.12.2015 registered at Police Station Madhu Vihar in CRL.M.C. 3293/2019 and FIR No. 162/2016 dated 02.09.2016 registered at Police Station Madhu Vihar in CRL.M.C. 3295/2019 and consequent proceedings arising therefrom are quashed.
8. Both the petitions are allowed accordingly.
