ORDER

1. The present two writ petitions assail the orders dated 01.10.2014 and 02.03.2017 passed by the Competent Authority under the Minimum Wages Act, 1948 and also seeks quashing of the complaint filed by the said authority before the Chief Metropolitan 2019:DHC:7715 Magistrate, Patiala House Courts, New Delhi in accordance with Section 20 ofthe Act.

During the pendency of the present petitions, the parties upon being referred to the Delhi High Court Mediation and Conciliation Centre, have arrived at an amicable settlement not only in respect of the order passed under the Minimum Wages Act but in respect ofthe award passed under the Industrial Disputes Act, 1947,the terms ofthe settlement have been set out in the agreement dated 21.10.2019. They, therefore, pray that the matter be disposed of in terms of the aforesaid settlement.

3. 'Learned counsel for the parties further submit that in terms of paragraph 7(a) of the agreement, the workman has already received the agreed sum of Rs.2,38,522/- and he therefore has no further claims surviving againstthe Management.

4. In these circumstances, with the consent of the parties the petitions along with pending applications stand disposed of, by I modifying the impugned orders and the award passed under the Industrial Disputes Act in terms of the settlement. The parties shall remain bound by the terms ofthe settlement.

5. The Registry is directed to forthwith release the amount deposited by the Management with upto date accrued interest thereon in favour ofthe Management.
