JUDGMENT

1. Issue notice.

2. Mr. Anupam Roy, Advocate, enters appearance on behalf of the respondent and accepts notice.

3. Present petition has been filed under Section 29A(4) of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 (‘Act’) seeking extension of time for completion of the arbitral proceedings and passing of the Award. 2019:DHC:6049

4. It is submitted by learned counsel for the petitioner that pursuant to a petition filed in this court under Section 29A(4) of the Act being OMP (Misc.)(Comm.) No. 193/2019, vide order dated 13.05.2019, this Court had extended the time by a period of six months, which has expired on 12.11.2019.

5. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the proceedings are at the stage of evidence of the claimant and prays that the time be further extended for a period of six months.

6. Mr. Anupam Roy, Advocate, appearing on behalf of the respondent, on instructions from the respondent, submits that the respondent has no objection to the time being extended.

7. With the consent of the parties, time for completion of the proceedings and passing of the Award is extended by a period of six months w.e.f. 13.11.2019.

8. The petition is disposed of in the aforesaid terms.
