JUDGMENT

1. This is a joint petition filed by the petitioner and the respondent under Section 29A(4) of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 (‘Act’) seeking extension of time for completion of the Arbitral Proceedings and passing of the Award.

2. It is submitted that time period lastly extended had expired on 03.10.2019 and the claimant is arguing in rejoinder after which arguments in clarification would be addressed by the respondent. 2019:DHC:6045 Learned counsels jointly submit that the time be extended by a period of nine months w.e.f. 03.10.2019 for completion of proceedings and passing of the Award.

3. With the consent of the parties, time for completion of the proceedings and passing of the Award is extended by a period of nine months w.e.f. 03.10.2019.

4. The petition is disposed of in the aforesaid terms.
