JUDGMENT

1. This writ petition has been initiated by this Court on its own motion mainly for the reason that a letter was received by the Registrar General of this Court dated 14th November, 2017, wherein author of the letter has mentioned about the illegal construction at Village Poonthkalan, Delhi-110086.

2. Counsel appearing for the respondent submits that they will verify the facts mentioned in the letter and that, if there is any unauthorised construction, the same will be removed by the respondent, in accordance with law.

3. In view of the above submission, we hereby direct the respondent to arrive at the conclusion, initially, whether the construction in question is illegal or not. If the construction is found to be illegal in nature, the 2019:DHC:6538-DB W.P.(C) 8799/2018 same shall be removed by the respondent, in accordance with law, rules, regulations as applicable to the facts of the present case after giving an adequate opportunity of being heard to the owner/occupier of the superstructure as expeditiously as possible and practicable.

4. With these observations, this writ petition is hereby disposed of.
