JUDGMENT

1. Issue notice.

2. Ms. Vasundhara Nayyar enters appearance and accepts notice on behalf of respondent. She submits, on instructions from the respondent, that the respondent has no objection to the time being extended for passing of the Award.

3. This is a petition filed under Section 29A(4) & (5) of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 (‘Act’) seeking extension of time for completion of the arbitral proceedings and passing of the Award.

4. Disputes had arisen between the parties with regard to work order NO. 2020:DHC:530 J6110RMD0132 dated 02.01.2013.

5. The Arbitral Tribunal entered upon reference on 07.08.2018. Statutory period of twelve months under Section 29A(1) of the Act expired on 06.08.2019. By consent of the parties, time was extended by a period of six months, which expires on 06.02.2020.

6. Learned counsels for the parties submit that the proceedings are at the stage of claimant’s evidence and pray that the time be further extended for a period of six months.

7. With the consent of the parties, time for completion of the proceedings and passing of the award is extended by a period of six months w.e.f 07.02.2020.

8. The petition is allowed in the aforesaid terms.
