JUDGMENT
1. Vide the present petition, petitioner seeks direction thereby quashing FIR No. 227/2016 dated 21.2.2016, registered at PS – Kotwali, Delhi and all other proceedings emanating therefrom.
2. Notice issued.
3. Notice is accepted by learned APP for the State and by respondent nos.[2] and 3, personally present in Court.
4. With the consent of counsel for the parties, the present petition is taken up for final disposal. 2020:DHC:1005
5. The present petition is filed on the ground that the parties have settled their disputes and respondent Nos. 2 and 3 have no objection if the present petition is allowed.
6. Respondent Nos. 2 and 3 are personally present in Court and have been identified by SI Chandra Shekhar (IO) and submit that matter has been settled and they do not wish to prosecute the matter any further.
7. Petitioner and respondent Nos. 2 and 3 have entered into an amicable settlement before Delhi Mediation Centre, Tis Hazari Court, Delhi vide a Settlement dated 11.12.2019.
8. The total settlement amount is ₹ 30,000/- (Rupees Thirty Thousand only). Two separate demand drafts, one bearing No.999039 dated 15.01.2020 for an amount of Rs.15,000/- (Rupees Fifteen Thousand only) in favour of respondent No.2 and another bearing No.999040 dated 15.01.2020 for an amount of Rs.15,000/- (Rupees Fifteen Thousand only) in favour of respondent No.3, have been handed over to respondent Nos. 2 and 3 today in the Court.
9. Taking into account the aforesaid facts, this Court is inclined to quash FIR as no useful purpose would be served in prosecuting petitioner any further.
10. For the reasons afore-recorded, the FIR 227/2016 dated 21.2.2016, registered at PS – Kotwali, Delhi and consequent proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed.
11. The petition is allowed and disposed of accordingly.
